We are looking to hire an Assistant Restaurant Manager to help us oversee the daily operations of our establishment at this time. You will be tasked with monitoring payroll, balancing cash registers, and arranging shifts as part of your responsibilities as the Assistant Restaurant Manager. In addition to this, you should respond to the concerns and questions raised by clients promptly and kindly.


Implementing cost-cutting and revenue-boosting strategies is essential to your success as an Assistant Restaurant Manager. One of the responsibilities of an exceptional Assistant Restaurant Manager is to contribute to the ongoing professional development of workers.

  • Implement adequate hygienic policies and procedures and ensure that health and safety regulations are followed at all times in the restaurant
  • Controls inventory, monitors revenues and modifies procedures and prices
  • Perform, during rush hour and upon need, the tasks of greeting, taking food orders and serving guests while informing kitchen/bar staff and waiters to act accordingly
  • Supervise the food preparation and presentation process, ensuring high-quality items and conformity with the set standards and techniques, check the quantity/quality of displayed items and take necessary actions upon needed
  • Handle customers’ complaints appropriately while ensuring continuous client satisfaction
  • Monitor, daily, F&B costs and review the operation’s budget with the Manager and overview the restaurant’s set targets taking necessary measures to meet them
  • Manage all operations relating to the restaurant’s function such as participating in the opening and closing procedure, checking maintenance, managing shifts and liaising with the purchasing department
  • Monitor the performance of stewards and handle tips calculation and distribution


  • Investigate potential new wholesale food suppliers, and attempt to negotiate better costs.
  • Determine your anticipated requirements for kitchenware and appliances, and then place orders as necessary.
  • Contracts and invoices from vendors should be managed and stored.
  • Maintain clear lines of communication between the staff members working in the front and rear of the house.
  • Create schedules for the various shifts.
  • Perform payroll processing for the whole restaurant employees.
  • Maintain order in the kitchen and provide help to the waiting staff when required
  • Maintain accurate records of your day-to-day, weekly, and monthly expenses and revenues.
  • Make the necessary preparations for the onboarding of new staff (scheduling pieces of training and ordering uniforms)
  • Check that regulations regarding safety and hygiene are being followed.
  • Collect the comments and suggestions of our customers, then make suggestions for the enhancement of our menus.


Competencies and prerequisites


  • Experience working in the hospitality business, preferably in a position comparable to that of a Restaurant Assistant Manager Familiarity with restaurant management software such as OpenTable and PeachWorks
  • Competence in mathematics and writing reports
  • Ability to communicate and manage teams in addition to a focus on providing excellent customer service
  • Ability to work at the designated opening and closing times (e.g. evenings, holidays, weekends)
  • A high school diploma is required, and extra training or certification in customer service is preferred.


Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Food and Beverage or Hospitality Management

3 – 5 years of experience in F&B operations, out of which 1 – 2 years in a managerial role

Fluency in English
