Summary of the showroom Receptionist Position


Callers are taken in at the dealership, where it is determined what kind of business they are calling about, and then they are directed to the appropriate location. Provides fundamental information to all callers, responds to fundamental questions, redirects incoming calls, and takes fundamental communications.


Essential Responsibilities of an Automotive Receptionist

  • Customers visiting the showroom are greeted, and the purpose of their visit is ascertained.
  • Provides customers with directions to the relevant department, alerts the proper person that a customer is waiting, and introduces the customer to a salesperson so that the customer can complete their transaction.
  • Attends to incoming calls on the telephone. The employee either transfers the caller to the relevant department or individual or takes a detailed message.
  • Maintains a professional demeanour while simultaneously displaying friendliness and efficiency when interacting with callers and visitors.
  • Using an ups card, a computer system, a log sheet, or one of the various methods specified by the dealership, the employee obtains fundamental demographic information about each customer.
  • Data entry into the prospect tracking system and weekly report generation for managers are other responsibilities.
