Step 11. If a biometric instruction letter is required, it will be sent to you through your IRCC account after you submit your application. Step 12. The work permit application assessment may take up to 56 days. We may ask you to provide additional documents. Once your application letter is approved, you will receive a Port of Entry (PoE) letter to Canada. You will need to keep the letter with you the entire time you stay in Canada.
